ATTORNEY DAMEKA L DAVIS, ESQ

BACKGROUND

Passionate about people and relentless in the pursuit of justice, Attorney Dameka Davis is a staunch advocate for her clients. Born and raised in Tulsa, OK, the oldest of four children, humility and determined leadership stand at the forefront of her principles. As founder of Davis Law Center, her many positive attributes undoubtedly serve as the foundation for the firm’s ongoing success.

EDUCATION

Ms. Davis received a Bachelors of Arts in Business Administration with a Concentration in Economics from Clark Atlanta University. The University’s motto, “I’ll find a way or make one,” sparked the tenacious entrepreneurial spirit that fuels her today. She later went on to receive her Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. 

EXPERIENCE

While in law school Ms. Davis participated in the “Innocence Project,” assisting clients wrongly convicted of capital crimes. Additionally, she interned at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office County Court Division where she gained experience prosecuting county court misdemeanor cases on behalf of the State of Florida.

After her Law School tenure, Ms. Davis began litigating employment law violations as a National Employment and Labor Law Association (NELA)-Florida Chapter fellow. She also obtained experience with immigration cases focusing on asylum, family based petitions, and deportation defense.

Prior to opening Davis Legal Center, Ms. Davis proudly served as an Assistant State Attorney for the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office where she prosecuted domestic violence, drug court, and probation violation cases.

LICENSURE

Ms. Davis is licensed in the State of Florida and has admissions with the United States Southern District of Florida, Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, United States Middle District of Florida, United States Northern District of Florida, and the United States Supreme Court.
